A few notes

This is a photo of DragonBen's garden at Grandma & DeeDa's house... As you can see, it is greening up nicely. The daffodils are the miniature ones that bloom later than the standard ones do.
First of all, the weather was so nasty on Saturday that we will be extending the hours of the Make & Take on Tuesday into the early evening for those of you who did not want to venture out.
The Make & Take is greeting cards and benefits the Pendleton/Clemson Relay For Life.
Secondly, we have a new array of wind chimes just in, as well as adorable rain gauges (and we've been having measureable rain too!!!). New Melissa & Doug toys along with new Folkmanis puppets. Our array of First Communion & Confirmation gifts is growing.
Next weekend (April 4 & 5) is Historic Pendleton's Spring Jubilee out on the green. The Pendleton District Commission (Jo McConnell in particular) has gone the extra mile again to bring in a wonderful array of artisans and crafts people to the green for this show that has had regional and national recognition. The show is rain or shine. Hope to see you then... we will be open both Saturday & Sunday of Jubilee. Come visit our beautiful historic town and find out what we have to offer.
And last, but by no means least, we will be having a Bead Trunk Show beginning the week after Spring Jubilee. I hand-picked so many beautiful beads... hope to see you then. Dates will be posted as soon as we finalize them...

Spring Make & Take

On Saturday, March 28 from 10 AM - 5 PM and Tuesday, March 31 from 1 - 5 PM we will be having a drop-in Make & Take.
We have a variety of about 10 projects, most of them are cards (still working out the details...).
The cost for each project will be $1 with one of the projects priced at $2.25.
All of the proceeds will benefit the Pendleton/Clemson Relay For Life (American Cancer Society).
You are welcome to stop in at any time and make as many or as few projects as you wish (your choice).
Hope to see you then!

Pendleton's Spring Jubilee

Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where the flowers is...

The Spring flowers are beginning to bloom here in Pendleton, the buds on the Dogwood trees are swelling. And that means it is almost time for Historic Pendleton's Spring Jubilee.

Jubilee is always held the first full weekend of April. There will be 90 or so talented artisans showing their creations across the village green. To entertain while you browse, there is a full slate of musical and other entertainment, very often including students from our sister city in Scotland. The Knights of Columbus have their sausages, the boy scouts sell lemonade and soda, as well as others offering popcorn, boiled peanuts, barbecue and more.

We will be open both Saturday and Sunday that weekend. Hope to see you then! If you want to know more, go to the blog listed in the posting below and see what Ohme has to say...

DragonBen's Painting

This is the wonderful view from the art room window that DragonBen painted. There were only 5 pieces selected from each elementary school for the show... and DragonBen's was one of them!
The opening reception was wonderful with a fabulous turn-out despite the rain mixed with snow...
Again, we are so very proud of our DragonBen and his talents. And he's a wonderful 9 year-old too!

We are open!

Despite the untimely snow storm of yesterday, we are open for business today. Hope to see you soon, if not - keep warm & dry if you can!
