Knitting Socks

Class Comments: This is a three hour class!!

Class Description: Margaret is planning a sock class.  The cost of the class includes class, pattern, yarn.   Students will need to bring size 7 double pointed needles to class.   Please let The Mercantile know if you need size 7 double pointed needles - they can be ordered and are extra. (About $9.00 for a set of 5 bamboo) Learn to knit socks the old fashioned way - with double pointed needles!  We will make a mini sock during class that will teach students all the techniques needed for person sized socks. Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.    Call the store today to reserve your spot!  There are only 3 spaces left.

We have openings for the Peyote Cube Bracelet with Jo Hoffacker on Tuesday evening (5/24) from 7 - 9 and for Art Impressions Watercolor with Mary Witter on Wednesday morning (5/25) from 10 - 12, plus Copic Markers with Mary Witter Wednesday afternoon (5/25) from 1 - 3.  The Hugs & Kisses Necklace with Terri on Saturday morning (5/28)is full at the moment (call to check).

Mary's Blog

I know, you are asking "Who is Mary?" Well, Mary is a wonderfully creative stamper who came to us looking for a place to teach some stamping techniques.  This occurred at about the same time that Mom & Dad were beginning to move more and more into retirement.  (NO, they have not left us yet, they always will be a presence at The Mercantile, after all, it was Mom's dream to open the store.)

Mary has a fun, bubbly personality, and tons of talent!  She is currently a member of the Art Impressions Design Team.

Stroll on over to Mary's blog to see some fun things she has done with the "Stroll Down Main Street" project set from Art Impressions.  And, while you are there, see some of the other wonderful things Mary has created.
