·       Special Hours – In addition to our regular hours 10 – 5:30, M – Sat.; we will be open on Sunday, October 21 from 1 – 4 pm.

·       There will be at least one free Make & Take available to all Shop Hop visitors.

·       2 ways to be entered into a drawing for a $25 Mercantile Gift Certificate (1 winner – drawn at 3 PM Saturday, October 27):

1.      Present a receipt for any of the Pendleton restaurants (dated the same day as your visit) at the time of your purchase here for one entry in the drawing.

2.    Enter one or more tags in the tag contest for one more entry in this drawing.

·       20% Shop Hop Discount is limited to our Crafting Supplies only (we are also a gift shop).  And, for our Craft Club Card holders, this purchase does not apply to your club card.

·       Tag Contest – we will post the rules of entry on our web site, blog & facebook page, as well as having them available in-store.  The rules will be posted & available no later than Tuesday, July 24, 2012.

·       Home Store Ticket Holders – are automatically entered into a special drawing for a $30 Mercantile Gift Certificate (Open to Home Store Ticket Holders ONLY).  Plus – they receive a special Take & Make kit.

Tag Contest @ The Mercantile

Eligibility:  Entrant must be a Carolina Shop Hop ticket holder (except in the case of the 12 & under category, they must either be a ticket holder OR be accompanied by a ticket holder).

Deadline:  All submissions must be received by 5:30 PM on Friday, October 26, 2012.  NO EXCEPTIONS

Dimensions:  Must be 3 1/8” x 6 1/4”  (Number 8 Tag)

Materials:  Tag may be made of ANY material

(ie: paper, fabric, wood, plastic, metal, etc…)

Categories:  (May enter the same tag in multiple categories.)

·        Made by a child (12 or under)

·        Altered Art

·        Holiday (any holiday)

·        Techniques

1.       Alcohol Inks (including Copic Markers)

2.     Collage/Assemblage

3.      Colored pencil/Watercolors

4.     Dark Paper

Rules:  Anything goes, with a note that while Tim Holtz products are welcome to be used, we encourage you to use your own creative juices.  Tim’s Tag designs and close variations will NOT be eligible.

Prizes:  BEST IN SHOW (overall) wins a $25 gift certificate to The Mercantile

              BEST IN CATEGORY wins a $10 gift certificate to The Mercantile
